Ognibene Power Digital Power Steering (DPS) is the cutting edge alternative to the traditional steering system for off-highway vehicles.

It improves maneuverability and enables the use of GPS and autonomous driving systems without any additional external steering support.

The vehicle is equipped with a DPS right from the factory, so it is a fully homologated on-road steering system.

If needed, GPS and auto-guidance systems can be directly connected to the DPS system.

Of course the driver has the possibility to override the system and keep full control of the steering through the wheel in any situation.

Thanks to the modularity of the system, it is possible to have a full range of intelligent steering columns with an integrated DPS module.

DPS has four main benefits:

  1. synthetic boost curve;

  2. improved maneuverability (high stability at high speeds and low effort during maneuver);

  3. direct integration with GPS;

  4. realignment of wheels in forward and reverse direction.

In 2018 Ognibene Digital Power Steering was awarded as “EIMA 2018 Technical News”.
