It improves maneuverability and enables the use of GPS and autonomous driving systems without any additional external steering support.
The vehicle is equipped with a DPS right from the factory, so it is a fully homologated on-road steering system.
If needed, GPS and auto-guidance systems can be directly connected to the DPS system.
Of course the driver has the possibility to override the system and keep full control of the steering through the wheel in any situation.
Thanks to the modularity of the system, it is possible to have a full range of intelligent steering columns with an integrated DPS module.
